Daily Activities

Directed activities such as Ball Pond, Water Games, Bubbles to chase, Fetch, Tug o  War, Hide and Seek with treats, popping Bubble Wrap and a Sand Pit for digging. We often order new stock to be delivered so that the dogs can inspect the new treats and toys when they arrive and practice our words and manners.

Supervised play with lots of different dog toys and things to play with such as wooden planks, coconuts, cardboard boxes, empty plastic bottles and blankets.

Dogs are encouraged to socialise and play with each other and new people, alternatively there are plenty of places to relax or just sleep.

Interesting Local Walks

With your permission we will let your dog off the lead to run free in a secure local park and train your dog to recall with treats.

Your dog will be encouraged to socialise and play with other dogs and their owners and to play fetch with squeaky balls.

A daily walk is usual, but not guaranteed, with our dedicated team of volunteers.  If you would like a guaranteed walk you can book a discounted walk, 30 minutes for £4 or 60 minutes for £8, with Stacey from Sturdy Paws Pet Services.

Rovers Return has public liability insurance coverage to the value of £5,000,000.

Weight Loss Boot Camp

Podgy pooches can take advantage of our Boot Camp to help them to lose those excess pounds.  Your dog would live with us as part of our family as we change their eating and exercise habits.  Your dog will be assessed by a vetinary nurse before starting the program to ensure that they are healthy enough to go on a diet. Appropriate food is included and is accurately weighed for your dog's target weight, treats are eliminated and exercise and play is encouraged.  Your dog will be sent home with an individual health plan and tips for success.

Boot camp costs £200 per week and is inclusive of all food and visits to the veterinary nurse.  You can choose to have your dog stay with us from between 1 and 4 weeks to kick start their new healthier lifestyle.
